HCN Generator

About this project

HCN Generator is a small QA-focused web utility designed to make testing healthcare applications easier without relying on real patient identifiers. It generates synthetic Health Card Numbers that satisfy the required Luhn checksum, giving testers realistic-looking values that can pass format and validation checks.

The application is intentionally lightweight and runs entirely through standard web technologies. JavaScript handles the generation and validation logic, while HTML5 and CSS3 provide the interface.

The project demonstrates how a relatively small algorithmic component can solve a practical testing problem: creating repeatable synthetic inputs that behave like valid identifiers while remaining suitable for development and QA workflows.
