About this project

This project is a Java Swing desktop text editor built around a traditional graphical editing interface. Users can create and modify text documents through a scrollable editor while accessing standard file operations such as opening and saving files.

The application also provides controls for changing font size, font colour, and font family, with the interface organized through standard Swing menus and components. File handling and editor state are managed directly within the Java application.

The project uses only the standard Java Swing library, making it a focused exploration of desktop GUI development, event handling, text components, and file I/O without relying on external frameworks.
